Couple learns dream home built on wrong plot of land

HAMMOCK DUNES, Fla. -- A dream house built on the Florida coast quickly became a nightmare when its owners learned it wasn't built on their land.

A Missouri couple said their contractor built the home on the plot of land next to the one they bought.

The builder said the mistake can be traced to a surveying error made several years ago.

The owners had planned to retire one day to the five-bedroom house with a home theater, game room and pool.

After this, they said they may just stay in the Midwest.
