2 charged in Frankford murder of transgender woman

FRANKFORD (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police have charged two people in connection to the murder of a transgender woman in Frankford.

Police say at 11:50 p.m. last Saturday, 25-year-old Maya Young was found on the 4800 block of Penn Street with multiple stab wounds to the neck and chest.

She was taken to Aria Health Frankford where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

Following an investigation, police arrested 24-year-old Tiffany Floyd and 19-year-old Jose Pena.

Floyd was taken into custody on Tuesday, Pena on Wednesday.

They have both been charged with Murder and Conspiracy.
