Philadelphia man charged in grandmother's murder

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A Philadelphia man is accused of killing his grandmother.

25-year-old Nathaniel McFadden was arrested Wednesday and charged with the murder of 86-year-old Janie Dawson.

It was back on March 9th when police say they found Dawson with severe injuries inside her home along the 2900 block of Judson Street.

She died a few weeks later.

Investigators allege McFadden also assaulted his 62-year-old aunt on that March day, but she did not go to the hospital.
