Going "nuts" with you diet could be a good thing. New research shows that people who regularly eat a variety of nuts are less likely to develop heart disease.
Harvard scientists looked at the eating habits of more than 200,000 healthcare workers.
Those eating walnuts at least once a week cut their heart risk by 21-percent compared to people who never eat nuts.
Lovers of other tree nuts, such as almonds or pistachios, got a slightly bigger benefit - up to 23-percent. And for people who eat peanuts, there was a 15-percent lower risk.
Of course, try not to over-do it. Nuts are high in calories, so you want to keep the portions small and try to limit overly salted nuts.
