From 70s motel to ultimate staycation spot: Heights House Hotel's jaw-dropping transformation

HOUSTON, Texas -- The Heights House Hotel's history started in the 70s as the Astro Inn. It was a low-cost option for anyone looking to stay in the historic Heights neighborhood, but it fell into disrepair over the decades.

Jivar Foty and George Giannukos loved the property that many gave up on years ago. They had a dream to transform it into a spot to relax and have fun, so they bought it and started year-long renovations.

The Heights House Hotel is now a boutique hotel with vintage touches and art everywhere you look! They have also opened the Space Cowboy Bar & Lounge for guests and visitors to enjoy.
