Fire damages 2-story house in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Firefighters battled a blaze that damaged a 2-story house in North Philadelphia Monday night.

The fire broke out shortly after 10:00 p.m. inside a row home on the 2200 block of North 18th Street.

An Action News viewer was on the scene and captured the fire on video.

Crews quickly placed the fire under control within twenty minutes.

There were no injuries reported.

5 people in an adjacent dwelling were displaced.

The Red Cross arrived to assist them.

The blaze is under investigation.
