Man struck and killed by truck in Hunting Park

HUNTING PARK (WPVI) -- A pickup truck struck and killed a man who was trying to cross a street in the Hunting Park section of Philadelphia, police say.

The accident happened late Saturday night on the 4600 block of North 5th Street.

The victim was in his 40s.

The truck driver stopped at the scene.

There is no word yet on any charges.

The incident remains under investigation by authorities.
