CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- A father of seven was shot to death, and nearly four months later no one has been arrested. Now his family is reaching out to you for help.
George Hollingsworth's voice catches when he talks about his late son, 31-year-old Jahid Hudson.
"He enjoyed being around his kids a lot," Hollingsworth said.
On Wednesday May 27th, the father of seven went out to a local bar in Camden.
"That night he left our house ... he went to the bar. I don't know what happened at the bar. And from the bar to maybe 10 minutes he gets shot," his father explained.
Hudson was able to make it to a friend's house at 8th and Jefferson, where they called for help around 12:20 a.m.
Hudson was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Det. Sherman Lee Hopkins Jr. from the Camden County Prosecutor's Office says, "We need the members of the community to come forward and say that they are not going to stand for this."
The Citizens Crime Commission is administering a $1,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the person responsible. All you have to do is call 215-546-TIPS.
All calls will remain anonymous.
"When they shot that bullet that took a part of a lot of people," Hollingsworth said.
He says he stays strong for his grandchildren. He explains, "It's putting back the pieces is the most important because I believe he would want us to put back the pieces and take care of his kids."
