Woman celebrates 104th birthday in Jenkintown

JENKINTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- A woman from Jenkintown celebrated a big milestone - her 104th birthday.

On Saturday, Florence Wallis turned 104.

'Floss' as she's affectionately known was born in 1911 in Philadelphia - and she is a life-long member of the Delaware Valley.

Wallis was married to her husband Francis for 44 years.

She also spent more than 39 years working for Bell Telephone.

Wallis now lives at The Chelsea at Jenkintown where she's quite popular.

She loves to read, play games, and if there's a musical performance scheduled at The Chelsea - you can catch her in the front row.
