Viewers take the 6abc Fun Bus for trip to see Kelly and Michael

NEW YORK (WPVI) -- A group of lucky 6abc viewers went with us on a special trip to New York this week to see an episode of LIVE with Kelly and Michael.

And boy did we gather a fun bunch of contest winners to board the 6abc Fun Bus before the break of dawn!

About 50 viewers traveled with us up to New York for a special behind-the-scenes look at the show, and they filled the studio audience with serious Philly flair!

"You know, there are a lot of people who are here from Philadelphia today," Kelly Ripa said to cheers from the audience.

Kelly, a Camden County native, always shows us a little extra love!

"It's nice to have Philadelphia in the audience, because I feel like I am at home," she said.

Meanwhile, Michael Strahan was not letting a little sports rivalry get in the way!

"They are rambunctious! They are the same people who would boo me as a football player, but I'm told they love me now on this show!" he said. "And I am happy for that."

Our 6abc Fun Bus passengers snapped tons of fun selfies with the hosts and got some big hugs.

"They always seemed personable on TV, but when you are sitting there 10 to 15 feet away, that was really cool," said Ruth Musselman of Souderton.

And about Kelly's pink hair - do "pinks" have more fun?

"I think they do. I am certainly having more fun," she said.

We also asked Michael if he was next, suggesting Giants blue - or even Eagles green!

"That ain't happening!" he said.
