PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Former St. Joe's star Langston Galloway, the second leading scorer in the school's history, is now trying to score a full time job with the New York Knicks.

The undrafted rookie is expected to make his second career start on Wednesday against the Sixers.

This comes after a career high of 21 points on Monday. Galloway is playing on his second 10-day contract.

"I never lacked confidence of getting to this league. I was just taking it day by day to work hard just to get up here," said Galloway.

While back in town, Galloway stopped by his old stomping grounds on Tuesday to say hello to his former teammates and former coach.

Phil Martelli is still giving the 23-year-old advice - they talk and text all the time.

"He just said, 'Keep doing your thing and have fun,'" said Galloway.

"Since he was 10 years old, he always dreamt of being a professional basketball player and now he is and tomorrow he has to be a better professional than he is today," said Martelli.

Martelli watches Galloway every chance he gets unfortunately he won't be able to watch him Wednesday against the SIxers since the Hawks will play at the same time.

Galloway, who is currently one of two St. Joe's players in the NBA, is proud to represent his school.

"It's definitely an honor to go out there and show St. Joe's has some talent," said Galloway.

For now Galloway wants to show that he has enough talent to make it in the NBA.

So far so good - in five games, he's averaged 12 points for the Knicks.
