D23 live updates: 'Kingdom Hearts' series coming to Disney+

Pete Docter, chief creative officer of Pixar Animation Studios, celebrated Pixar's 40th anniversary at the Disney Entertainment Showcase with some big announcements.

Rounding out the trilogy, "Incredibles 3" will be released in Summer 2028.

Docter said in this film, the kids will take the spotlight, with Violet and Dash Parr determined to step out on their own.

Later on, Docter announced that "Coco 2" will return to the land of the dead in November 2029, picking up just a few short years after the original film.

Benjamin Bratt took the stage to share that he'll reprise his role as the voice of Ernesto de la Cruz.

"Coco holds a truly special place in my heart," he said.

Dana Walden, the president and chief creative officer of the Walt Disney Company, gave "The Simpsons" fans a sneak peek at a new film that will be released in September 2027.

She said "Bart insisted" on showing the audience the new footage, despite it being a little rough.

"Me? A princess? Shut up!"

Anne Hathaway, who will be honored during the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony on Sunday, took the stage at the Disney Entertainment Showcase.

She announced they're working hard on "The Princess Diaries 3" and shared her thanks to fans.

"Please never stop reciting your favorite lines to me, because I still can't spell Gabbana," she said. "And I have come to love being told to shut up."

Josh D'Amaro is talking to fans at the Honda Center in his first D23 after becoming CEO of The Walt Disney Company.

Before sharing where the company is heading, he shared a personal story about a family trip to Walt Disney World.

"I believe that in order to lead the company, you have to know what it feels like to be a fan," he said, "And I do."

The Disney veteran became the CEO in March 2026. The previous CEO, Bob Iger, will be inducted as a Disney Legend during the award ceremony on Sunday.
