Phillies ball girl tryouts

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Local athletes and college students put their skills to the test today, in their quest to become a Phillies Ballgirl.

Tryouts were held in South Philadelphia.

The participants had to answer questions about baseball and even took to the batting cages.

Up to 10 women will be selected to join the ballgirl team.

Winners will be announced in January.
