VIDEO: Police: Man found dead in Logan not hit-and-run victim
Police now say that a man found dead along a roadway in Philadelphia's Logan section was not the victim of a hit-and-run.

LOGAN (WPVI) -- Contrary to what they previously reported, police now say that a man found dead along a roadway in Philadelphia's Logan section was not the victim of a hit-and-run.

The incident happened around 6:10 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of 9th Street and Wyoming Avenue.

A man in his 20s was found lying in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police initially said he was the victim of a hit-and-run but a further investigation determined that was not the case.

The Medical Examiner's Office told investigators the victim's injuries reveal that he was likely pushed from or had fallen from a moving vehicle.

The exact cause of death has not yet been determined. No word yet either on the victim's identity.

Chrome pieces, possibly from the vehicle the victim fell from, were found at the scene. Authorities are also hoping to find surveillance video from the area.

The incident remains under investigation.
