MAGNOLIA, Del. (WPVI) -- A 19-year-old man was critically injured after being struck by a car in Magnolia, Delaware.
It happened at 5:10 a.m. Saturday on Merrimac Avenue, between Classic Drive and U.S. 301.
Police say the victim was crossing from the northbound side of Merrimac Avenue heading southbound when he was struck by a 2011 Ford Focus, operated by a 31-year-old woman.
The pedestrian was not at an intersection or in a crosswalk at the time of the accident, police say.
The victim was rushed to the hospital for life-threatening injuries to his head and legs.
At last check, he was listed in critical condition and comatose.
Police are investigating.
