WEST KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- A gunman opened fire into a car in Philadelphia's West Kensington section killing one man and critically injuring a 14-year-old boy.

Police say the victims' car was stopped at a red light on Lehigh at Front Street just before 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

According to authorities, the gunman got out of a dark-colored vehicle and opened fire into the driver side window.

The 24-year-old driver of the victims' car drove to Episcopal Hospital then crashed at the front gate.

The driver was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The 14-year-old passenger is in critical condition.

Police continue to search for the shooter.
