Motorcyclist killed in Northeast Philadelphia collision

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A motorcyclist has been killed after a collision in Northeast Philadelphia.

It happened around 10:35 p.m. Thursday at Whitaker Avenue and Herkness Street.

Police say a motorcycle and car collided at that location.

The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle, believed to be a Lincoln, did stop.

So far, no word on what led to the crash or if the driver will face charges.
