PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The suspect in the May 2015 murder of a transgender woman in Philadelphia, pleaded guilty Tuesday and was sentenced to 22 to 44 years in prison.

Raheam Felton was arrested last year in the killing of 21-year-old London Banks, who also went by the name London Kiki Chanel.

Chanel was stabbed to death in the 2200 block of North Ingersoll Street.

Police say the crime was motivated by a domestic argument, and the victim was not targeted for being transgender.

Felton was charged with Murder and Possessing an Instrument of Crime.

He apologized in court.
