Police in New Castle County are on the scene of a deadly crash involving a motorcycle.

NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) -- Police in New Castle County are on the scene of a deadly crash involving a motorcycle.

It happened at 3:25 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Moores Lane and Midfield Road in New Castle, Delaware.

Police say a 2009 Suzuki motorcycle being operated by 42-year-old Herbert Williams III of New Castle was traveling northbound on Moores Lane at a high rate of speed when it hit the right back side of a Toyota Prius that was turning into the Castle Hills Parkland area.

The impact caused Williams to be ejected from the motorcycle and the Prius was spun around off of the roadway.

Williams, who had suffered multiple severe injuries to the head, neck, arms, and legs, was rushed to Christiana Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The two occupants of the Prius were not injured.

No charges have been filed in relation to the incident.
