New Jersey's largest mall to open Thanksgiving

PARAMUS, N.J. -- New Jersey's largest mall will be open for Thanksgiving for the first time.

Westfield Garden State Plaza will be open from 6 to 11 p.m. However, Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus will be closed. J.C. Penney will open at 5 p.m.

Senior marketing director Lisa Herrmann-Srednicki tells The Record newspaper the mall is responding to shoppers and merchants who have called for earlier openings over the past few years.

The nearby Paramus Park mall will also be open on Thanksgiving.
