Man shot and killed in Camden, New Jersey

CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police in Camden are trying to track down a killer.

A man was shot several times near the intersection of Beideman Avenue and River Road.

The gunfire erupted at 11:30 p.m. Friday.

Officers arrived to find the victim, 35-year-old Alejandro Brooks of Cherry Hill, laying on the pavement suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police rushed the victim to Cooper University Hospital.

Doctors were not able to save him.

Investigators are working to determine who shot the man and why.
