PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- 6abc's Jessica Boyington has more new restaurants you'll want to check out in Philadelphia in this week's Top 6.
KIDDO
Kiddo opened up in October in the Washington Square West neighborhood. The menu is new American and vegetable forward, with vegetarian and vegan options available too! Head to the bar for an old fashioned or get comfy with a muddled black raspberries and gin...and put in an order for the homemade chips and beet dip!
What I loved:
-Goat Cheese Fritter (with black pepper and pear sauce for dipping)
-Brown Butter Ravioli (with beet puree
-Cauliflower Steak (with mushroom fondue and crispy onions)
SIN
SIN stands for "Steak, Italian, Nightlife"in this new Northern Liberties hangout. With its dark and sexy dining room that has a dj booth to complete it, this Italian steakhouse has what they call "Vibe Dining". How you behave here though is on you...as for me, I attempted to inhale everything on the menu.
What I loved:
-Meatballs (with a side of grilled Focaccia)
-Tuna Tartare
-Pistachio Martini (with a graham cracker rim)
-Egg Nog Iced Latte
-18 Ounce Prime Cut Ribeye (cooked medium rare!)
-Cacio e Pepe (mixed table side with a blow torch in a HUGE wheel of cheese!)
