1 dead, 1 injured in N.J.Turnpike crash in Woolwich Twp.

WOOLWICH TWP., N.J. -- One person was killed and another was injured in a multi-vehicle crash on the New jersey Turnpike on early Monday morning.

It was just before just before 4:00 a.m. when police say a pick-up truck struck the rear of a tractor-trailer, causing it to overturn.

A utility truck then slammed into the overturned tractor-trailer.

The driver of the utility truck was killed.

The driver of the pickup truck was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The tractor-trailer driver was uninjured.

The turnpike was blocked at exits 2, 3 and 4 for several hours.

The road finally reopened around 10:00 a.m. for motorists.
