1 injured in I-76 crash in University City

UNIVERSITY CITY (WPVI) -- One person was hospitalized following a multi-vehicle accident on I-76 in Philadelphia's University City section Monday afternoon.

The accident happened around 1:00 p.m. in the eastbound Lanes of the Schuylkill Expressway.

There is no word yet on what caused the accident.

The victim's condition is not clear, however they did not appear to be suffering from life threatening injuries.

One lane was closed while officials remained on the scene.
