NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA -- A two-alarm fire broke out inside a church in Northeast Philadelphia on Tuesday.
The fire was reported at the Segunda Iglesia Bautista Church in the 4900 block of Frankford Avenue at 2:36 p.m.
Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from the rear of the building.
The view from Chopper 6 HD showed a number of firefighters attacking the fire through the roof.
The fire was placed under control in less than 50 minutes.
Investigators say contractors were working on the roof with a torch when the fire started.
No injuries have been reported.
Along with damage to the roof, firefighters say there is water and smoke damage to the interior of the church.
