Man who allegedly stabbed worker in Herr's truck ID'd

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police have identified the man who allegedly stabbed a Herr's employee inside his truck.

Tamaron Jones, 21, from the 1300 block of S. Paxon Street, is charged with Aggravated Assault, Possessing An Instrument of Crime, Simple Assault, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.

The incident happened on Friday around 1:45 p.m. on the 3200 block South 74th Street.

The victim told police he was driving up to a Herr's facility when Jones pulled out a black kitchen knife and stabbed him several times.

The victim says there weren't any arguments or disagreements between himself and Jones.

Police say Jones was assigned by a temporary agency to Herr's. He had not worked with the victim before.

The victim received more than ten stitches in his right eye along with stitches in his right arm. He also had puncture wounds to his back, leg, head and stomach area.

He was treated and released from the hospital.
