Appliance burglar caught on camera in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are looking for a man they say broke into someone's house and stole thousands of dollars' worth of appliances.

He was captured on surveillance video looking right at the camera.

The burglary happened at 3:00 a.m. on July 23 at a home in the 2200 block of North Sydenham Street.

Police say he got in by forcing open a back window.

Once inside he stole $6,000 in appliances.
