Car slams into Olive Garden in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Pa. (WPVI) -- Authorities say man lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the side of an Olive Garden restaurant in Springfield, Delaware County.

It happened around 3:15 Thursday afternoon on the 1000 block of Baltimore Pike.

The male driver was transported to an area hospital.

A mother and child were eating nearby as well as another restaurant patron. The child and the patron were hospitalized as well.

The driver's wife was also in the car but was not harmed.

No word on the conditions of the victims.

The accident remains under investigation.
