Drug ring busted in Berks, Schuylkill counties

READING, Pa. (WPVI) -- A major drug trafficking ring running out of Berks and Schuylkill counties is now out of business.

Berks County District Attorney John Adams announced the completion of Operation Ice Out on Wednesday.

15 of the 24 suspected mid-level drug dealers are now in police custody.

During the investigation, authorities say they seized $370,000 worth of meth, cocaine and heroin.

Officers also recovered dozens of semi-automatic weapons, cars with hidden compartments and $78,000 in cash.

An arrest warrant has been issued for the remaining nine suspects.

Authorities are offering a reward for information leading to their arrests.
