NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Colleagues remembered a Pennsylvania state trooper accidentally killed in a firearms training exercise last week as a man who loved his job and enjoyed coming to work every day.

Funeral services for 26-year-old David Kedra were held Monday in northeast Philadelphia. Hundreds of law enforcement officers lined the streets and bagpipes played as Kedra's flag-draped casket was carried into Christ the King Church.

Officials say the trooper was shot in the chest Tuesday after another trooper's gun accidentally discharged.

The 2010 Temple University graduate joined the state police in June 2012.

He was assigned to the Skippack barracks in Montgomery County in January 2013 following his graduation from the academy.

Kedra was the second trooper shot to death in September.

Cpl. Bryon Dickson was killed in a Sept. 12 ambush outside the Blooming Grove barracks that also wounded another trooper. Authorities have been searching for a suspect.
