WEST CHESTER, Pa. (WPVI) -- A West Chester man accused of beating a kitten and injecting it with heroin learned his sentence on Tuesday.
A judge ordered James Myers to spend two months under home confinement and complete 150 hours of community service.
Myers' attorney has said his client was high on drugs and hallucinating when he harmed the cat last summer.
The 25-year-old told the judge Tuesday he has been sober for more than a year.
Meanwhile, the male kitten is now living with the veterinarian who revived him with Narcan, a heroin antidote.
