Woman critically injured in Trenton fire

TRENTON, N.J. (WPVI) -- A woman was critically injured in a fire early Sunday morning in Trenton, New Jersey.

The fire erupted at 12:40 a.m. in the 700 block of Centre Street.

Flames started on the first floor of a home, spread through the building and eventually to another home.

Both homes were left uninhabitable.

The woman escaped the fire but not without serious burns. She is hospitalized in critical condition.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
