1 dead in double shooting in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say one man is dead and another is critical after a double shooting in North Philadelphia.

The shooting occurred before 2 a.m. Tuesday on the 2600 block of North 8th Street.

Two unidentified men were shot and one was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Witnesses told police they saw the suspects fleeing on foot towards West Lehigh Avenue.

Police are checking surveillance cameras for evidence.

So far, no word on a motive for the shooting.
