Gunman on bike shoots man in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Police have released surveillance video of a shooting in which two suspects approached their victim on bikes, opened fire, and then rode away.



It was 1:25 p.m. on Sunday, April 27th when police responded to the report of a shooting on the 2900 block of North Marshall Street.



The victim, a 46-year-old man, was found unresponsive on the corner of Marshall Street and Indiana Avenue. He was transported to Temple University Hospital where he was immediately taken in for surgery.



Surveillance video recovered from the scene shows the victim walking down North Marshall Street when the two suspects approached the man from behind on BMX style bicycles.



One of the suspects then raises his arm and shoots the victim. Both suspects then fled and were last seen headed south on Marshall Street.



The gunman is described as a black male in his teens, dark complexion, wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt. The second suspect is described as a Hispanic or black male, light complexion, wearing a light colored shirt with stripes.
