PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Former Philadelphia Police Commissioner John Timoney was laid to rest on Tuesday in New York.
Family, friends, and fellow officers gathered at Saint Patrick's Cathedral in New York City to say goodbye to Timoney.
He ran the NYPD before taking the job here in Philadelphia.
Current New York Police Commissioner William Bratton delivered the eulogy.
Timoney died last week after a long battle with lung cancer.
He was 68.
