Off-duty officer injured in Olney car crash

OLNEY -- An off-duty Philadelphia police officer was injured in a 2-car crash in the Olney section.

The accident occurred after 2:00 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of West Fisher Avenue and North 3rd Street.

Police say two vehicles collided and the impact sent one of the vehicles into a parked vehicle.

One civilian had to be cut from the crash. That person is in stable condition.

The off-duty officer was taken to Einstein Hospital with serious injuries.

There is no word on how the crash happened.
