1 dead in Olney double shooting

OLNEY (WPVI) -- A double shooting in the Olney section of Philadelphia has left one man dead.

The shooting occurred shortly after 3:30 a.m. Sunday on the 5100 block of North Front Street.

A 21-year-old man suffering from several gunshot wounds was found in the back seat of a car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the 21-year-old male driver escaped from the vehicle when he heard the shooting and was subsequently shot in the right thigh and right foot.

He was found lying nearby on the ground at the corner of the 5100 block of Mascher Street.

He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Police say at least 33 shots were fired during this incident.
