SPRING TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WPVI) -- A Berks County pastor is about to make a return to the pulpit that many are calling miraculous.
Bryan Koch gets around GT Church in Spring Township these days with the help of a walker - but the fact that he walks at all is incredible.
The pastor was critically injured when an alleged drunk driver hit his motorcycle, pinning him beneath an SUV.
He broke both hips, his pelvis and even lost a leg.
But now, after 17 surgeries Koch says he's ready to get back and preach.
"My message this week is to encourage anyone that's in a hard place, that's going through tough things in life. And I've told my boys - I've said, 'Hey, you're gonna have a grandpa and a dad that doesn't have a left eye and a left leg but hey I've got a big heart for you and a big heart for God.' I'm gonna be okay," he said.
Koch lost his eye when he was 21 during a baseball accident.
He says he will not be defined by his injuries, but rather by his service to his family and his faith
