'Pedals' the bear spotted in West Milford, officials say

WEST MILFORD, N.J. (WPVI) -- Animal lovers in North Jersey are breathing a sigh of relief Tuesday.

Many thought something happened to a beloved bear that frequently wanders around West Milford.

But wildlife officials say someone spotted "Pedals" the bear just last week, and she seems to be healthy.

She walks upright, on two paws, apparently because of an injury.
