Sandusky attorneys seek testimony from TV producer
Attorneys for Jerry Sandusky say they have a new witness they want to call as part of their effort to get the former Penn State football coach a new trial.

BELLEFONTE, Pa. (WPVI) -- Attorneys for Jerry Sandusky say they have a new witness they want to call as part of their effort to get the former Penn State football coach a new trial.

Sandusky's team filed a petition Wednesday requesting that a television producer from a show hosted by Bob Costas testify on Sandusky's behalf.

Sandusky's attorneys argue that his former defense attorney, Joe Amendola, was ineffective and allowed him to compromise himself during that interview.

Sandusky's infamous pause, when asked whether he was attracted to young boys, was introduced at trial.

Amendola previously said he agreed to the interview because he was trying to find friends in the media prior to the trial.
