Eagles create shrine to Nick Foles in locker room
One way the Philadelphia Eagles are trying to keep the good vibes flowing is by building a shrine to Nick Foles in the locker room.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Philadelphia Eagles are just days away from a crucial game against the Houston Texans. And their goal is to stay healthy.

Eight of the Birds did not practice Thursday, including Fletcher Cox, Michael Bennett, Alshon Jeffrey and Jake Elliott.

The Eagles find themselves in the same position they were in last week: they need a win against a very good opponent to continue the playoff push. And just like last week, they will put their trust in quarterback Nick Foles.

One way the Eagles are trying to keep the good vibes flowing is by building a shrine to Foles in the locker room.

There is a personalized copy of Foles book 'Believe It', a framed picture of Foles from his days with the St. Louis Rams, and candles.

Chris Long, the mastermind behind the shrine, explained its purpose.

"It's just good energy for Nick Foles. I know you guys wanted to do the interview over there, but it's kind of a sacred area. I don't do interviews in front of the shrine. But it gives Nick good energy," Long said.

Cox lit the candles to the shrine when the Action Cam was there.

"If that works and we believe, hey, why not?" Cox said.

"We all know what's at stake. I think as far as lightening the mood to keep things on track, I think it's awesome," Lane Johnson said.

The team's playoff hopes are at stake this Sunday in the home game against the 10-4 Texans.
