Car drives off bridge in Fairmount Park

FAIRMOUNT PARK (WPVI) -- A driver is hospitalized after losing control of a vehicle and driving off a bridge in Fairmount Park.

The crash happened just before 12:30 p.m. Saturday near 33rd and Girard along the Girard Avenue Bridge.

The car fell off the bridge and crashed near a PECO substation below.

The driver of the car was taken to the hospital.

No word on their condition at this time.
