Police release surveillance photos of 7-Eleven robbery suspect

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- A 7-eleven employee in Center City was threatened with a knife after approaching a robbery suspect.

The robbery occurred at the store on the 900 block of Market Street around 6:30 p.m. on August 27. Police released surveillance pictures of the suspect Friday.

Officials said the suspect put several items into his backpack and when he was asked to pay for those items, they said he pulled a small knife from his pocket and attempted to stab the employee before running away.

The employee was not injured.

Anyone who recognizes the man in the photos is asked to contact police.
