Body pulled from Schuylkill River in Center City

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Detectives are working to identify a badly decomposed body pulled from the Schuylkill River on Monday morning.

Police made the gruesome discovery near 25th and Locust, in Center City, just after 10 a.m.

Investigators say the body appears to be male, but they could not determine anything else.

It's not yet clear how the person ended up in the river.
