PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Tuesday marked the tenth anniversary of the deadly shooting of Philadelphia Police Officer Chuck Cassidy.
He was shot in the line of duty and died the next day.
Officer Cassidy unknowingly walked into a Dunkin Donuts on North Broad Street during an armed robbery.
Action News spoke with his widow, Judy, who is now a grandmother.
"Her name is Charlie and she was born the day after Chuck's birthday," said Judy Cassidy. "I think that brought a lot of life back into everyone's life."
On Wednesday, a vigil will be held in Officer Cassidy's honor.
And every year there is also golf outing which raises money to provide scholarships to students.
