One dead after Germantown Avenue shooting

GERMANTOWN (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Police are investigating a shooting in North Philadelphia.

It happened just before 2 p.m. on Germantown Avenue near Venango Street.

Police said an unidentified man, in his late 30s or early 40s, was shot in the neck and hand. He was pronounced dead at the scene by fire rescue.

Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives.
