Double shooting leaves 1 dead, another critical in Strawberry Mansion

STRAWBERRY MANSION (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police continue to investigate a shooting that left one person dead and another injured.

The incident occurred along the 2400 block of Cecil B. Moore Avenue in the city's Strawberry Mansion section just before 4 a.m. Saturday.

A 23-year-old man was shot eight times and taken by private car to Temple Hospital where he died from his injuries.

The second victim, a 19-year-old woman, was shot five times and also taken to Temple Hospital where she is listed in critical condition.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 5'9" and was seen wearing dark pants, a black hat and a gray hooded sweatshirt with "Superdry" written across the front in orange and blue lettering.

So far, no arrests have been made.
