Rocky, Max, Bella among top dog names in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- If you are a dog named Max or Bella, you deserve a treat!

Those are the top male and female dog names in the country for the year 2017, according to pet-sitting website Rover.com.

In Philadelphia, the top male dog names also include Charlie, Cooper, Oliver, and, of course, Rocky.

Lucky, Luna, Daisey, and Sadie are among the top female names for dogs in Philly.

Speaking of Philly, Rover.com says the use of the dog name Philly has increased by 189% in 2017.

Dogs with the names Bruce Wayne, Harvey Dent and Harley Quinn are among those being walked in Philadelphia.

Nationwide, 8% of all dog names were pop culture-influenced including characters from "Stranger Things" and "Star Wars."

The website says they created its annual list by going through their database of hundreds of thousands of pet parents.
