Man, woman injured in Point Breeze double shooting

POINT BREEZE (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a double shooting that injured a man and a woman in South Philadelphia's Point Breeze section.

It happened around 8:30 Friday night in the 1700 block of Wharton Street.

Police say a man, believed to be in his 40s, and a woman, reportedly in her 50s, were shot and wounded.

The man sustained an injury to his hand and did require hospitalization.

The woman was shot once in the right ankle. She is in stable condition at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Police say the shooting appears to be a domestic incident.

The shooter remains at large, but investigators say they know who they're looking for.
