Atlantic City hosts annual polar plunge

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey (WPVI) -- Thousands will endure the brisk, cold temperatures for the Polar Bear Plunge in the waters off Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The annual New Year's Day tradition takes place at noon.

This year, participants are raising money for a number of charities including the Atlantic County Toys for Kids Program.

This is the 29th year for the plunge.
